I won the offer… Now what?

Congrats! Winning an offer is a major milestone, and now it’s time to finalize the deal. There are still a few challenging steps to take before you receive the keys to your new home.

This includes reviewing the purchase agreement, arranging your financing, and making sure everything checks out. Legally, financially, and technically.

What happens after your bid is accepted:

  1. Purchase Agreement - You’ll sign the preliminary contract with the seller. Before you do, it’s crucial to check the legal conditions, deadlines, and financial clauses. Walter helps ensure your interests are protected.
  2. Building Inspection - Optional, but highly recommended. This reveals hidden defects and can even offer room for negotiation. It also gives peace of mind before moving forward.
  3. Appraisal (Valuation) - Your lender will require a certified appraisal to confirm the home’s market value. Walter coordinates this for you through trusted partners.
  4. Financing & Mortgage Finalization - Work with your mortgage advisor to secure your financing. Walter supports you with planning and documentation to meet all deadlines on time.
  5. Notary & Legal Procedures - A few days before the transfer, you’ll review and sign the official deed with the notary. Walter ensures everything is legally sound and submitted properly.
  6. Final Inspection - On the day of the key handover, you’ll walk through the property one last time to confirm it’s in the agreed condition.
  7. Key Handover & Payment - Walter coordinates with the notary to ensure a smooth transfer. Once the payment is processed, the keys are yours. You’re officially a homeowner.
  8. Post-Purchase Support - Even after the handover, Walter remains available. If something unexpected comes up—legally or practically—we’re still here to support you.
